The centerpiece is Benedict Sheehan’s new commission Songbird Antiphons, featuring poetry by Charles Anthony Silvestri and Talia Sheehan, which celebrates American songbirds while highlighting threats to their habitats.
The concert features Eric Whitacre’s thrilling Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine alongside works by Caroline Shaw, Abbie Betinis, Ravel, Vaughan Williams, and Stanford. Pre-concert talk at 6:15 PM.
