The Community Survey Determines Our Priorities for FY26

Please let us know what local cultural events and projects you find worth funding in Falmouth.

Local Guidelines for FY25

  • Grant awards will typically be within a range of $250 - $1,000 per application

  • Only one application will be considered from each applicant

  • Submissions from the same applicant for the same project are limited to no more than 2 consecutive years, unless there is a substantial new element in the program or event

Funding Priorities for FY25

  • Projects that are free or low-cost ($5 p.p. and children free)

  • New project ideas and first-time applicants

  • Applications from Falmouth individuals and organizations

  • Events that take place in any or all the villages of Falmouth

  • Projects that include prior approval of a named venue

  • Programs that support diverse cultural needs of community members, such as:

    • BIPOC

    • People with disabilities

    • LGBTQ+

    • Non-English speaking community members

We collected 465 survey responses at various community events

Programming Priorities for FY25

All Projects are welcome. However, based on responses to our community survey, we encourage applications in the following areas:

  • Community-wide fairs and festivals

  • Children’s and school programs

  • Projects celebrating cultural diversity

  • Nature and environmental programs

  • Concerts and dance performances

  • Theater, comedy, spoken word, and storytelling

  • Projects celebrating local history

  • Library programs and events

  • Art classes, exhibits and receptions

  • Community television, film and film festivals
