Music at the Table Matters…

  • “I can’t recall ever being so happy about playing for people. What I hope I accomplished was adding an element of comfort to people who have very little of that in their lives. Music has that power and it felt so good to be able to deliver it. (Gene Bourque, Cape Cod Acoustics)

  • “One of the things we all need with a post COVID epidemic of loneliness is a way of connecting and belonging. Music is an incredible and accessible way to bridge social gaps and create social bonds even if just for an hour." (Donna Jackson, Psy. D., Vinfen Clinician - Homeless Outreach & Engagement Team)

  • One guest suggested we should name our music outreach program, “Soul Music with a Side of Protein.” He felt that the combination of live, upbeat music and a hot homemade meal was good for both his total well-being.

  • When the Falmouth Academy International Ensemble recently performed, many of the guests reminisced about learning to play an instrument as a child. When the ensemble played “What a Wonderful World,” you could feel how live music is uplifting for everyone—the volunteers, the clinicians, and the guests alike.

Thank You for Your Support!

  • Thanks to a generous grant from the Kathryn Goodman Foundation and community donations, the Falmouth Cultural Council is able to fund Music at the Table on Tuesdays for 2025.

  • If we could raise an additional $7,800, Music at the Table would bring the healing and joyful power of music to A Place at the Table, Saint Barnabas’ free and welcoming lunch program on both Thursdays as well as Tuesdays.

  • All donations pay the musicians’ stipends. Our performers are professional, working musicians and we honor their creativity with a stipend that values their work.

  • Your donation is tax-deductible.
